This page explains how IllustrationDex uses cookies and browser storage.
If you create an account and sign in, our authentication system (BetterAuth) sets a session cookie so we can keep you logged in. These cookies are strictly necessary to provide the signed-in experience and cannot be turned off while you use an account. If you never sign in, no such cookies are set.

IllustrationDex uses localStorage for functional purposes. This is not a cookie but works similarly. The following keys are stored:

All keys persist until you clear site data, except folio.openBinder (sessionStorage),
which is cleared when you close the tab.
We use our own first-party analytics in fully cookieless mode: no analytics
cookie is ever set. A random session id is written to sessionStorage under the
key analytics_session_id purely to group events from the same browser tab; it is
cleared automatically when the tab closes, is never linked to your account, and is not sent
anywhere except our own /api/analytics endpoint on this site. We do not send your
name, email, or account ID.
Clearing your browser's site data removes the session id above (it's session-scoped, so
closing the tab already does this). If you would prefer to send no analytics at all, use a
browser or extension that blocks requests to /api/analytics.
We may update this Cookie Policy at any time. Changes take effect when posted, and the "Last updated" date above will reflect them.
